Chronos and LSE Agree 3-year Extension to Chronos Sustainability Prizes
Chronos Sustainability, the award-winning sustainability consultancy, has announced that it will continue to sponsor the Chronos Sustainability Prizes at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for another three years to the 2027/2028 academic year.
The Prizes are awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the LSE Department of Geography and Environment who, as part of their coursework, are required to prepare a policy brief on a key area of sustainability significance and to offer recommendations to key stakeholders such as regulators, investors and companies. Winners are selected by a panel of internationally recognised sustainability experts. Chronos Sustainability has sponsored the Prizes since they began in academic year 2022/23.
This year’s winners were announced last month with their submissions posted on the Chronos website.
Dr Rory Sullivan, CEO, Chronos Sustainability and Chair of the judging panel for the postgraduate prize said:
“We’re delighted to continue our support for the next generation of sustainability professionals through our commitment to these prizes. The Chronos team never fail to be impressed by the high standards of research and the ideas found in the students’ policy briefs. We look forward to the next three years.
Nicky Amos, Managing Director of Chronos Sustainability and Chair of the judging panel for the undergraduate prize said:
“Through the Prizes we hope to inspire students to focus on how their research can enable public and private sector players to respond effectively to the world’s sustainability challenges. That’s an objective that is at the core of what Chronos Sustainability is all about, so it’s great news that we can extend this partnership for at least three more years.”
Richard Perkins, Associate Professor in Environmental Geography, LSE said:
“Both undergraduate and postgraduate students really value the opportunity to have their work reviewed by industry practitioners, and to meet leaders in the industry at the awards ceremony each year. The Department genuinely appreciates the vision and support of Chronos Sustainability in this important initiative, and we’re delighted to commit to the Prizes for the coming years.”
