Accelerating the Transition to Safer Chemistry: The Investor Contribution

As part of the Responsible Investor Europe 2026 Conference, we hosted a workshop on chemicals and safer chemistry.

The aims were to explore the role that investors can play in supporting and enabling safer chemistry, and to understand what is needed (in terms of information and in terms of policy frameworks) for them to play this role. The workshop was attended by asset owners, asset managers, investor networks and other chemical industry stakeholders. This briefing note presents the key insights from the workshop, and outlines potential next steps for investors.
