Best Sustainability Consultancy Award

In March 2026 we were delighted that Chronos was named ‘Best Sustainability Consultancy’ at the ESG Investing Awards 2026. The award was a tribute to the whole team for their outstanding work, and to our many clients who have allowed us to carry out so many significant, high-impact projects.

The judges said the award recognised the importance of our work to foster meaningful and coordinated, system-wide change.

That’s why Chronos designs and delivers networks that drive change. By aligning global investors, multinational brands and on-the-ground suppliers, we mobilise entire value chains that transform business practices at scale.

In a year defined by geopolitical volatility, Chronos not only held the line – we accelerated impact. Our activity has included:

  •  Driving the $18 trillion Global Investor Commission on Mining 2030, to align markets behind a vision for a more responsible mining sector.

  • Assessing 220 listed companies on their mental health performance and inspiring improvements that have seen 1.5 million employees benefit from a better approach to mental health support.

  • Supporting both multinational brands (Costa, Bentley) and civil society groups (Canopy, Earthworks) to tackle complex sourcing challenges from protecting endangered forests to modern slavery.

  • Driving the food industry’s biggest animal welfare initiatives. The Global Coalition for Animal Welfare and the Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare which assesses the animal welfare performance at 150 global food giants.  Benchmarked companies with animal welfare objectives have tripled in over a decade.

  • Engaged regulators, policymakers and standard setters through workshops on sustainable data use in Brussels and on global mining codes.

  • Supported the next generation of sustainable finance professionals through an annual student prize at the LSE, providing freely-available careers guides to young professionals and supporting a team of young ecologists at a rewilding project in Sussex.

  • Sharing knowledge through webinars and roundtables, briefings, LinkedIn and our podcast: Chronos Talks

We are grateful that our commitment to design frameworks, build markets and drive initiatives that turn sustainability ambition into action - from global systems down to local implementation – has been recognised in this way.
