Just Three Months until the new UK Stewardship Code…
Stewardship is changing, with just over three months until the new UK Stewardship Code becomes effective.
The new code should reduce the workload for investors (notably with the need to only publish stewardship policy and context disclosures every four years - assuming business as usual). It also puts greater focus on the actual outcomes of engagements, and if they help create long-term sustainable value for clients and beneficiaries. Different principles also apply to different types of signatory including asset owners, managers, proxy advisors and engagement service providers.
